FROME Town have made a seven-day approach to sign Chippenham Town striker Alan Griffin.
The Robins revealed yesterday that they had recieved a seven-day approach from the Bluebirds to re-sign frontman Lewis Powell and today shed light on their bid for Griffin.
Griffin, 29, has netted 12 goals for Chippenham this season and played under Frome manager Darren Perrin during his spell in charge at Hardenhuish Park.
Nathan Rudge's Chippenham travel to Arlesey Town in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division while Perrin's Frome face a crucial home clash with relegation rivals Hitchin Town.
