SWINDON TOWN: Storey out for season
6:00am Friday 22nd February 2013 in Sport By Sam Morshead
Swindon's Miles Storey
MILES Storey has revealed he will spend the rest of the season on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
Storey limped off after 25 minutes of Town’s trip to Tranmere on Tuesday and underwent a scan on the trouble area yesterday, the results of which the striker received last night.
They were not what he had been hoping for, as he was informed that he has a 20cm grade three tear which will keep him out of action until the summer.
Storey, who is out of contract a the County Ground at the end of the current campaign, took to Twitter to voice his frustration at the news.
He said: “Looks like my season is over got a grade 3 tear of 20 cm so gutted but need to come back firing next year.
“Just have to work hard now and hope I've done enough to stay in the game
There was better news on the fitness of centre-back Joe Devera, of whom Miller said: “He’s pretty close. We’re hoping he’s going to be training next week.”
