CHIPPENHAM Town chief Nathan Rudge has responded to the loss of skipper Steve Casey by bringing in a pair of teenage defenders from Exeter City.

Bluebirds stalwart Casey, who moved to Chippenham from Calne Town in 2008, has agreed to exit Hardenhuish Park by mutual consent and the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division outfit are set to cushion the blow by signing Jordan Tillson and Jacob Wannell on loan from the League Two Grecians.

19-year-old Tillson is the son of former Bristol Rovers man Andy Tillson and has featured against Chippenham twice this campaign.

Whilst on loan at Gloucester City, he was part of the Tigers side that condemned the Bluebirds to a heart-wrenching FA Cup fourth qualifying round defeat last October and also featured for Exeter in pre-season at Hardenhuish Park.

Wannell, 18, who operates in the centre of defence and at left-back, had a spell on loan at Conference South Dorchester Town earlier this season.
