NATHAN Rudge revealed that he could bring in as many as four new faces to boost his dwindling squad ahead of this weekend’s trip to Bedworth United.

Luke Ballinger returned to rivals Frome Town last Friday and the Bluebirds boss was dismayed with the manner that the winger jumped ship.

“It left a sour taste in my mouth because he didn’t turn up for traning last Thursday and when I finally got hold of him after 11 phone calls, he said ‘didn’t you get my text that said I was leaving?’.

“That was the first time I heard about Frome and it’s disappointing because it’s not right to just text someone. He’s apologised to me since.

“Luke’s a nice kid deep down and I think he’s been given some bad advice. But he’s the England Futsal captain and just like with me, the responsibility falls with him.”

Brandon Barnes has also left Chippenham to join Paulton Rovers and Rudge added: “Brandon wanted games and if we were at the top of the table, I’ve no doubt he’d have been fantastic for us. I think it was the right club at the wrong time.”
