NORTH Wilts men complete their 2012-13 Wessex League campaign when they face Nailsea this Sunday.

After winning their first two central region league matches and topping the table, Wilts have lost the last three games and slipped down to fourth spot and out of contention to really claim a wild card play-offs spot.

In their last Wessex match a fortnight ago, Wilts lost to leaders Bristol 85-75.

The team chosen to play Nailsea only shows one change, on the home rink skipped by Justin Davis where John Buckland comes in for Alan Stell at number two.

SUE Cooke and Alex Jacobs are North Wilts ladies sole representatives at this year’s Ladies National Indoor Championship finals at both Melton and District and Nottingham IBC.

Winners of the national pairs crown in March 2010 Cooke and Jacobs have reached the latter stages in this season’s championship.

They qualified with a comfortable 16-7 victory over Thornbury’s mother and daughter pairing of Cynthia and Rachel Winter-Alsop in the Area 30 national pairs championship final.

Previously they had enjoyed 25-11, 28-15 and 23-9 victories over duos from Thornbury and Clarrie Dunbar (two) on the way to the area pairs final.

In the last 32 at Melton & District next Thursday, February 28 (5.30pm) they have been drawn against Jean Eslick and Doreen Cook (Dartford Stone Lodge IBC, Kent).

If successful, they would then face either Hartlepool or Norfolk the following morning at 9.30am.
