PREDICTIONS LEAGUE: Tranmere Rovers v Swindon Town
11:30am Monday 18th February 2013 in Sport
"Dear all, .
A couple of quick notes: 1 - The results for the last game will be on the Hartlepool results thread posted earlier in the week - they're all done and ready but my Dad's impending house move has diverted my attentions this week.
2 - Tranmere will also be the Predictions League basis for the F.A. Cup 5th Rd…..for those that are still in that is!!….Red White cheats so watch out folks!! :-) .
On the question of Tranmere, well it's all bets on now as they are falling faster than the recent meteors in Russia but that is no reason to 'expect' a result at a difficult Prenton Park…..although I'm betting we all are! I start a new job on Monday and will be stuck listening to the commentary on the STFC player but will also be looking for a few favourable results on the preceding Saturday and of course to news that everything is ok with the sale and that the potential loans are all back on again.
I've got happy memories of Tranmere away on the whole and do think that we'll be within reason to expect a good follow-up to the recent 5-0 win at the County Ground. They have lost their last 3 and 4 of the last 5 but the one win was away to Brentford so you can't write them off. In turn we've drawn a few too many games but given the limitations on squad numbers and illnesses at the time I think it was a pretty good haul for the team at the time.
Can Swindon make it 3 wins from the last 3 visits!?…..or will Tranmere frustrate STFC on a…errmmm...'difficult'...pitch!?
