HUNDREDS of skinny dippers will shed their clothes and launch themselves into the sea in a charity world record bid.

Daring do-gooders will bare all to fight cancer as part of the fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

It will take place at a beach in Tendring, but the exact location is a closely guarded secret.

Fundraisers are hoping to set the world record for the number of people skinny dipping at one time.

The current record was set by the cancer care charity in 2011 when 413 people rushed into the sea in Wales, raising £40,000 for Marie Curie through sponsorship.

Organisers are hoping to top that record in Tendring this year.

The skinny dip session will take place on June 2 at 7am.

It costs £15 to enter and the brave dippers are asked to raise £85 in sponsorship cash.

People can sign up for the event by calling 0845 0524184 or visiting mariecurie.org.uk/en-GB/events/adrenaline-experiences/
