LOANEE Danny Hollands has admitted he is in the dark over whether or not tomorrow’s home game with Carlisle will be his last in a Swindon Town shirt.

The midfielder has scored twice in seven appearances since making the temporary switch from Charlton, and as things stand he is due to return to The Valley following the clash with Greg Abbott’s side.

Town boss Paolo Di Canio has told Hollands he would like to extend his spell at the County Ground, but the 27-year-old has not spoken to Addicks manager Chris Powell and at this point is unsure where his future lies.

“I have spoken to the manager here and he says he would like to extend it, but I haven’t spoken to Charlton so I can’t really comment on what is going to happen or where things are going to go,” he said.

“Up to now I have really enjoyed my time here and I hope I have given something to the football club, and I want to do that again on Saturday. It is a massive game and all I am focusing on is helping us get another three points.

“The gaffer has his own way of doing things and it maybe took me a couple of weeks to get used to it because it was a bit different. But it is a good way to do things and results are obviously showing it is very effective. I am enjoying it, but it is out of my hands and I can’t really say what is going to happen.

“But if I don’t play again after Saturday everyone around the club has brilliant and so has the support from the fans.”

Both Hollands’ two goals have come in successive 5-0 home victories over Tranmere and Portsmouth, and while he is pleased to have found the net, the midfielder insisted the Town squad are not letting themselves get carried away by their recent form in front of goal.

“It is a tough one because when you win two games 5-0 on the spin people expect you to go out and wipe the floor with whoever you are playing against, so it is going to be tough going into the game but we are positive,” he said.

“On the other hand we have to keep our feet on the ground because Carlisle are going to give us a good test on Saturday, so we have to make sure we do everything right and get the three points from a massive game.

“Not every team is playing on Saturday, so it is an even bigger test for us to make sure we get the points because with the teams not playing the points on the board is the main thing.”
