BOWLS: North Wilts make Top Club exit
NORTH Wilts mixed team saw their hopes of progress in the National Top Club competition ended in Bristol on shots difference.
They drew with the Gloucestershire club 8-8 on points but lost out by nine shots on overall shot difference going down 91-82 in the second round of the national inter-club championship.
The Chippenham-based club took the honours in the mixed pairs and triples, both worth four points each. But lost the men’s and ladies two wood singles (two points each) while the mixed fours showing two changes this time lost by 14 shots.
