Heading out it seems but fair play to the kids for getting this far and I'm sure it will have been good experience regardless of the outcome. Hats off to Bodin as well for bringing some genuine talent to the attention of the first team, as well as the players themselves of course.

Never mind lads. Sounds like you put up a great fight in front of a very healthy attendence.

No doubt a great experience and much to build on.

Maybe I'm a bit of an old cynic but I'm struggling to see why the Adver has been raving about this season's youth team. Two cup games against non-league opposition have given them an easy path to this stage of the competition. If the Adver wants to give the youth team blanket coverage, fair enough. But let's have it every season, not just because the luck of the draw gave them a game against Liverpool. Obviously there is no disgrace in losing to Liverpool. However, shouldn't we also keep the games against Sholing and Cirencester in perspective?.
.
Didn't realise until a few minutes ago that Jordan Ibe is the lad who scored for Wycombe when he was 15 (and got booked for over-celebrating?). He clearly has a lot of talent.
.
It's great to see our youngsters breaking into the first team. Whether that's down to their talent and application, the management of the youth set-up or a mixture of the two, I don't know - but it's a very pleasing outcome.

Just like Man City last season this was a step too far for our kids. If Liverpool's and City's youngsters can cope with the physical side of premier league football, then things look good for the national side 5 years down the line.

Hopefully our guys will learn from playing against such class. It was a joy to watch even though it hurt to see them get such a harsh lesson.
