U9 League Cup

CASTLE Combe Colts Whites booked their place in the quarter-finals with a tense 1-0 victory over Westbury Youth Lions.

Bradley Beck grabbed the winner two minutes from time for the Colts, who kept a clean sheet thanks to a superb defensive display from Josh Rees.

U10 Daniel Higgs Memorial Trophy

GEORGE Blagden scored an early hat-trick as Trowbridge Town Lions stormed past AFC Corsham Leopards 8-0.

Goals from Oliver Sterling, Aiden Wynne, Devante Halladay, Harrision Simmonds and an own goal wrapped up the win for last year’s finalists.

Trowbridge Town Tigers edged out Bradford Town Youth Panthers 1-0 to reach the quarter finals, courtesy of Mark Brimson’s strike.

U12 Ron Boucher Memorial Trophy

MELKSHAM United Hurricanes remain unbeaten in league and cup after booking their place in the last eight following their 4-1 win at Castle Combe Colts.

Joe Lamb twice, Sam Townsend and Joseph Parsons scored for the Hurricanes with Townsend also named their man of the match.

U15 Ron & Edna Sales Trophy

WILL Billett scored a consolation goal for home side Castle Combe Colts but saw visitors Westbury Youth progress into the next round with a 5-1 victory.

U9 Yellow Division

MELKSHAM United Typhoons held onto their lead at the top of the table after edging their close encounter with Trowbridge Wanderers 3-2, Thomas Rose and Jamie Chapman scoring for Wanderers.

U10 Blue Division

FC CALNE Milan moved joint fourth in the table following their narrow 2-1 victory against ever-improving Chippenham Town Youth White. Josh Salmon scored for the Whites.

U10 Yellow Division

CASTLE Combe scored first in an end-to-end game against home side Bishops Cannings.

But Cannings were quick to reply before going on to finish 5-1 winners.

Cannings’ goals came from Cory Ferguson, William Scammell with a long-range volley and a hat-trick from George Green.

The man of the match for Cannings was Jack Coleman.

Westbury Youth Spitfires made the perfect start against visitors Chippenham Town Youth Yellow, Nathan Ellis stroking home the opener.

Chippenham equalised midway through the half, but Colin Weightman responded in kind and Westbury wrapped up victory when a low corner went straight to George Howe who passed the ball into the corner of the net.

FC Calne Rovers played FC Calne Blues and won 2-0, with goals from Spencer Smart and Zach Davies.

U11 Red Division

TROWBRIDGE Wanderers White gave a solid team performance to run out 5-3 winners against second-placed Warminster Highbury Black. Alex Holmes scored twice, Jacom Nuttall, Evan Fleet and Oakley Bancroft salso on target for Wanderers.

U12 Blue Division

AN ENTERTAINING game between home side Mere and Warminster Highbury Reds ended in a fair scoreless draw.

U16 Blue Division

BIDDESTONE moved to within one point of the leaders after their closely-fought 3-2 away win against Sarum Youth.

Elliot Doddington twice and Ed Sawyer, from the penalty spot, scored for Biddestone.
