Paolo Di Canio reacts to his side's 4-0 win at Stevenage...

"If I had to choose I would prefer to win against Aston Villa than Stevenage but we are going for the win.

"You saw what happened to today, John Bostock got an injury and this is what can happen. The performance was good, I'm happy for the three points, but I'm not totally happy - I'm more angry that ever.

Town boss Paolo Di Canio prays for inspiration

PAOLO DI CANIO

"I don't want to say why, you can imagine. Stevenage was second and it's not an accident because we were better but unfortunately made damage to my team already and that cannot be cancelled.

"They did an amazing job today like they can many times during the season if they put their brain to it."

5:55pm

5:31pm

Tommy Miller was a late call-up to the team after Troy Archibald-Henville pulled out through illness, and although he missed a penalty, the midfielder was pleased with his side's afternoon's work.

"We had a few chances early doors and got the first goal, and it all fell into place," he said.

"In the first half we were three goals up and missed a penalty, but it was a great performance.

"If we can get some consistency there we can push our way up the league, and that is what we want to do.

"It was an enjoyable game to play in, and if we can do that week in week out we will be okay.

"I struck my penalty well and I kept it down this time, but the keeper is a big lad and he got there. I think I will give one of the younger lads a go next time."

Home manager Gary Smith has just spoken to the media, and believes Swindon are the 'brightest' team his side have played this season.

Gary Smith

GARY SMITH

"It was pretty emphatic and they started brighter and sharper than we did which is pretty surprising.

"We have been on a good run and the expectation was to get something out of today, so to lose like that is hard.

"We don't want too many days like today, and we don't concede too many goals, so it is pretty out of keeping.

"To be perfectly honest it could have been a lot worse.

"They were certainly the brightest and carved out the most opportunities against us, and we were well below par.

"The gulf was a big one today, and it has given us plenty to work on."

Four minutes added on now

4:47pm

Bostock goes down holding his groin, he should just come off.

4:45pm

Bostock looks like he has picked up a bit of a knock, but he is still soldiering on

4:44pm

84 minutes: Roberts is chopped down by N’Gala, who is booked, and Bostock curls the free-kick just wide.

4:42pm

82 minutes: Town earn a corner after McCormack’s cross is turned behind, but Miller’s kick is too high former Flint, who jumped too early.

4:38pm

4,518 here this afternoon. 926 Town fans.

4:37pm

77minutes: Rooney sends in a deep cross which David Gray sends behind, and Ward flicks on the corner but Flint can’t quite get a touch.

4:37pm

It is Benson who is replaced

4:34pm

Simon Ferry about to come on, probably for Miller.

4:32pm

While the whole side have played well today, John Bostock has really stood out. He has done all the simple things perfectly without being flashy, and has run the midfield all afternoon.

4:27pm

Lost the internet here for a few minutes, but back online now. Not missed anything significant.

4:22pm

61 minutes: GOAL 4-0 TOWN (Rooney) Benson uses his body well to win back possession for Bostock, and instead of shooting the midfielder slips a sublime pass to Rooney, who uses his first touch since coming on to control, then finishes well with his second.

4:19pm

58 minutes: Storey picks the ball up on half-way and charges all the way into the box, but fires his effort into the side netting. And that is the last action of Storey's afternoon, as he is replaced by Adam Rooney.

4:16pm

56 minutes: Town work the ball back into the danger zone from a short corner, and Storey rises highest to meet Miller’s chipped cross, and forces a superb one-handed save from Arnold. From the corner which follows, Gary Roberts drills wide.

4:13pm

SUBSTITUTION

Matt Ritchie is replaced by Gary Roberts

4:11pm

52 minutes: A great cross-field ball from Ritchie finds De Vita, and the Italian’s cross is deflected over after he cut inside. The corner comes to nothing.

3:37pm

34 minutes: McCormack charges into the area and is brought down, but Miller's penalty is saved by Arnold.

3:34pm

31 minutes: GOAL 2-0 TOWN: Arnold stretches to punch clear as Benson challenges him for the ball, but his clearance only goes as far as Ritchie, who drills it back into the net. Looked like it might have gone through the keeper's legs.

3:30pm

27minutes: Devera whips in a cross which Benson can’t quite reach, and from the corner which follows, McCormack unleashes a thunderbolt which is blocked.

3:28pm

25 minutes: Storey spreads the play to De Vita who battles to win possession, and then pulls the ball back for Devera to cross. The defenders effort goes deep where Ritchie is eased of the ball. Quiet appeals for a penalty, but nothing doing.

3:23pm

The goal is no more than Town deserve, they have had much the better of the opening exchanges, and could, and maybe should, be more than a goal up.

3:20pm

17 minutes: GOAL 1-0 TOWN (De Vita): Storey puts in a deep cross which Matt Ritchie heads powerfully back across goal. Raffa De Vita takes a touch, turns, and fires a volley back across the keeper. Great goal!

3:18pm

15 minutes: Greg Tansey has the visitors’ first real effort on goal, but his effort takes a huge deflection and loops into the hands of Wes Foderingham.

3:15pm

12 minutes: The home side take a quick free-kick, but Aden Flint gets across well to rob Filipe Morais.

3:12pm

He should have scored - but other than that Miles Storey has started really well here. A couple of nice touches and looking to get things going.

3:10pm

Seven minutes: Big shout for a penalty as Benson goes down under Arnold’s challenge, but a corner is given. Di Canio is livid on the touchline.

3:09pm

Six minutes: Massive chance for Miles Storey to find the net there, but he can only turn and bobble a shot straight at the keeper.

3:07pm

Four minutes: Ritchie sends in a teasing cross, and Benson can only divert the ball into the arms of Steve Arnold.

3:06pm

Three minutes: A neat passing move involving De Vita, Storey and Miller sets McCormack free down the right, and the make-shift full-back wins a corner, which is cleared.

3:03pm

After all the confusion before the game Town are playing a straight-forward 4-4-2 now. McCormack, Flint, Ward Devera at the back. Ritchie, Bostock, Miller and De Vita in midfield, with Storey and Benson up top.

3:00pm

And we are underway!

FAMILIAR FACE - OLIVER RISSER

Promotion would be the perfect tribute
There is a familiar face in the Stevenage line-up this afternoon, with on-loan Town midfielder Oliver Risser allowed to play against his parent club. The Namibian was part of the Swindon side which stormed to the League Two title last season, and scored some important goals along the way. Manager Paolo Di Canio deemed him surplus to requirements in the summer, and he has gone on to make three league starts since his move.

2:32pm

THE MANAGER - GARY SMITH

Gary Smith
The former midfielder started his career as a trainee at Arsenal, before eventually moving on to Fulham where he made his professional debut in 1985.

His time at Craven Cottage was short lived, and after spells at Colchester and Enfield he found a home at Wycombe. 66 appearances made his time in Buckinghamshire the most successful of his career, but his time at Adams Park was hampered by injuries before the end. He had one more foray into the Football League with Barnet, before retiring due to injury at 27 while with Aylesbury.

The early retirement led to him beginning his coaching career at Wimbledon, and he enjoyed spells coaching the youth team at former club Wycombe and then at Watford before moving to Colorado to help establish Arsenal’s academy.

His success caught the attention of Arsenal and Colorado Rapids owner Stan Kroenke, who made him assistant manager as he began working closer with the first team. When manager Fernando Clavijo resigned he assumed the head coach role, and in 2010 he won the MLS Cup.

But he endured a difficult 2011 and was released from his contract. He was appointed Stevenage manager in January this year, and has made a superb start to lead his side to second in League One.

Here's Paolo Di Canio talking about how he is struggling to get his players to focus when he cannot bring in new faces.

“But it’s a bit disappointing because we were there and now we have to use the players we’ve got to handle the situation, feel the pressure every three days. It’s not easy because it’s human to feel tired, to relax," he said.

Paolo Di Canio

PAOLO DI CANIO

“Even if I tell them ‘don’t relax otherwise I don’t play you, you can’t persuade magic because they’re not stupid. Who’s going to play? A 16-year-old, a 15-year-old? It’s human, it’s normal and that is why we have paid the price.

“I was sure three weeks ago. Not because they are bad guys but because they are human, they have limits like many other humans in the world.”

DANGER MEN

FILIPE MORAIS

Oldham Athletic footballer Filipe Morais, who is in hospital after a car crash.

The Portuguese played in Jose Mourinho’s first game as Chelsea boss in a pre-season game away at Oxford, and looked as if he was going to develop into a first team star at Stamford Bridge. But after a loan spell at MK Dons he opted to leave Chelsea due to a lack of opportunities. After a season at Millwall he moved to Scotland where he played SPL football for three years, before returning to England with Oldham. Two years at Boundary Park saw him score eight goals, before making the move to Stevenage. Morais has settled into life in Hertfordshire well, and his footballing brain, creativity and accurate passing will cause Town problems all afternoon.

LUKE FREEMAN

Luke Freemand
The youngster burst onto the scene at Gillingham while only 15 years old, and quickly earned a high profile £200,000 move to Premier League giants Arsenal. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger described Freeman as a ‘very interesting prospect’, and he quickly showed his quality in the club’s u18’s team in his first season. He signed as a pro in 2009, and went on loan to Yeovil the following year in a bid to earn himself first-team football. Things went well at Huish Park, and he eventually signed for Stevenage, also on loan. Freeman’s chances at the Emirates were becoming limited, and he opted to move to Broadhall Way on a permanent basis. Still only 20, Freeman is capable of playing on the wing and as a main striker, and he still regularly shows the potential which brought him to the attention of Arsenal in the first place.

MARCUS HABER

Darlington's Marcus Haber struggles to fend off the attentions of Middlesbrough' Mohammed Shawky
The Canadian is expected to lead the line for the home side this afternoon, having joined the club in the summer from St Johnstone. Haber started his career with home club Vancouver Whitecaps, where he claimed both the newcomer of the year and fans favourite award in his first season. That success earned him a move to West Bromwich Albion, but chances at the Hawthorns were limited prompting loan moves to Exeter and back to Vancouver. He eventually moved to St Johnstone on loan before making his switch permanently, scoring three times in his year north of the border. He has started life at Broadhall Way well, and after two assists on his debut, he scored the winner in the 2-1 win at Coventry with 15 minutes remaining.

Gary Smith came back from Major League Soccer in the USA to coach Stevenage, and Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio is uncertain he will have brought back anything from across the pond that can significantly effect the English game.

“I don’t know if you can learn in general. I know it sounds arrogant but I don’t think you can learn from American football to bring it to England," he said.

“You can learn because you are intelligent, you have knowledge and maybe from other sports in America you find a way to motivate or bring something that comes from another sport.

PAOLO DI CANIO

“Maybe you can have a good mixture and combination.

“From what I see in their play it is nothing different than being solid, keeping their shape, working well and taking the chances when they have them."

1:49pm

Stevenage manager Gary Smith has followed on from where his predecessor, Graham Westley, left off in leading Boro up the Football League pyramid.

They currently sit in their highest-ever position but Smith is still wary of the test Town will provide them with this afternoon.

“It will be a tough game. I think their away form has been slightly better than their home form, which has been the case with us a little bit this season,” said Smith.

Gary Smith

GARY SMITH

“Paolo Di Canio is a colourful and creative manager and he has put together a very strong group. I suspect the budget behind the scenes is a very big one, and one which suggests they are looking for back-to-back promotions.

“I couldn’t even begin to tell you what side he will put out because there has been a lot of changes, but what we do know is whoever plays will provide us with a stiff test and at the end of a tough week it will be a difficult encounter.”

Town's new Captain Oliver Risser

ON LOAN: OLIVER RISSER

Oliver Risser is eligible to play against his parent club and may well feature as James Dunne will be missing from Boro's midfield as he serves a one-match ban.

1:45pm

Winger Gary Roberts told the Advertiser in midweek that he was disappointed with his own performance in the first half of the 2-1 defeat at Crewe on Tuesday.

He's hoping to make a bigger impact this afternoon, but expects a stern test at Stevenage.

He said: “I thought it was a little bit tight on my side in the first half and every time I got it I could only really go back or try a risky pass sideways. One got cut out for the goal which is disappointing for me.

Gary Roberts

GARY ROBERTS

“In the second half it opened up a little bit and I had a couple of chances, I had a bit of hard luck in front of goal. On another day I could have scored two or three but the second half I was quite pleased.

“Tuesday, because we had them on the back foot for large periods of the game, I think it opened up and they got deeper and deeper and I got a chance to really get on the ball and have a chance to have a few shots and a few crosses.

“Stevenage will be a totally different game again, I think it will be similar to the first half at Crewe. They’ll be right up your backside and they’ll have two doubling up on you and it will be a tough game to go into."

1:41pm

Here is Swindon Town manager Paolo Di Canio's take on Stevenage ahead of the clash at Broadhall Way this afternoon:

“They have won the last two so they are in a good position close to the top. They are a solid team, no fantasy, they know what they want, they work hard off the ball and when they have got the ball they have two or three good individuals.

Stevenage fans celebrate their late winner

HAPPY DAYS: STEVENAGE FANS HAVE BEEN CELEBRATING A LOT OF LATE

“In general you don’t see big fantasy in this team but they play effective football which is really important in this league and that is why they stay near the top.

“They are a tough team to face in this moment but I’m not worried because we will plauy our football and we will try to get chances to win this game."

1:39pm

1:38pm

Two young men who will be involved again this afternoon are under 18 squad members Aaron Oakley and Louis Thompson.

The pair, both Wales Under 19 internationals, were on the bench at Crewe in midweek and Paolo Di Canio said he will include both this afternoon.

You can be heroes - Di Canio

PAOLO DI CANIO

He said: "Aaron will come back again. It was the first chance for him to be part of the first-team squad last time. Louis Thompson will travel with us again.

“More than in the past we are going to pick from the youth."

1:34pm

TEAM NEWS

Nothing official for another half-hour or so, but there are plenty of injuries for manager Paolo Di Canio to contend with this afternoon.

The Robins boss will be without Alan Navarro, Andy Williams, Giles Coke and Federico Bessone while Nathan Thompson remains a doubt.

Aden Flint

BACK IN THE FRAME: ADEN FLINT

Aden Flint is available, however, after returning from a ban, while Paul Benson could come back into the matchday squad.

Why is it when were losing i dont feel like well score yet when were winning it feels like well always conceed?

Great win. Do hope the Bostock injury is not serious - he should have been in the team a long time ago - Navarro is a flop. Glad to see Storey take his chance (in both senses) - another one who should get more of a run in the side. His pace is frightening for opponents. Which Thompson was on the bench today? Flying over for Tuesday and Saturday - my fifth and sixth games of the season. Hope today's Town show up, not the side I saw at Shrewsbury and the Colchester match. More talent at Di Canio's disposal than perhaps he realized? Or was this all mind games?

Have to agree -a draw would have been a result in my book. Just listening to Paolo seems reasonably happy but not completely lol! Have to ask the question, with the embargo lifted would Storey have got his chance today ? I'm pleased he did and seized the chance to prove he can deliver. Both he and Thompson have been the best "finds" this season, so very pleased for them both.
Having to utilize what we already had to maximum effect has probably even surprised the manager at what they can deliver. Sorry, but I've never really been convinced by Navaro, and I guess today further underlines that.

Raffa just seems to get better game on game, brilliant.

Great to listen to. The passing was back because the commentator found it hard to keep up with. Well done to the players and a special shout for the fans who made the journey. Could only hear you throughout the match. Names to the fore were Macca, Ritchie, Miller, Bostock, Devra, DeVita and Storey. Suggests we created space to play the passes. Paolo clearly believes that the lads focus when we play the better sides but not against the perceived lesser sides. Hence even tonight there was a bit of anger. Have to agree. So dissappointed that Bostock got injured. Diplomatic Sir Bill patting Paolo on the back at the end.

It just shows what these players and this team is capable of.Time somebody took a hammering! Just need more consistency and composure when the chances come as they do in plentiful supply almost every match. Paolo must stop carping on after every match - it's becoming very debilitating for all of us.
Work with the talent we have and accept that injuries are part of the game. Also learn from last year when bringing in loan players and introducing them immediately didn't necessarily help the team - especially at Wembley. Can't wait for Villa on Tuesday.

Grim, I'm very pleased for De Vita. He's come on in leaps and bounds since the start of last season, when I thought he looked very lightweight. Very underrated player. His first touch is great, his ball control is tidy and he wins his fair share of headers against bigger blokes. There was one game recently (Colchester I think) when he was the only one in our side playing any football. Bostock has clearly got a lot of talent. Seems it came to the fore today.

I think we all thought Bostock had talent and could have played a part before. Paolo has said that he wanted him to change, to become more of a team player (I think), is he now ready to challenge for one of the central midfield slots ?

I also wondered whether he was a big part of Paolo's "Plan B", that I think was tried for the first time against Coventry, which could explain why his starts have been limited.

Real shame he has played a blinder by all accounts and picked up an injury. Augurs well for the future though when he returns.

Few Quotes from the Stevenage forums.

"We could easily have lost by 6 or more goals today. But I still think we will make the play offs. Swindon will win the league."

Get your Bets on with BetButler :-)

"They had a front two that worked together and caused us lots of problems, we have one who is so isolated and gets no help."

"Lets forget the bull about tiredness , we were murdered today by a team who wanted it more and in my opinion out thought and out played us on all areas of the park with some great football."

"Very impressed with Swindon today. Yes we were poor, but at times you have to hold your hands up and say we were completely outplayed by a very good Swindon team.

Probably one of the best teams I have seen us play since becoming a football league team."

"Swindon played some good football and I thought Bostock played very well."

Keep it up Town, a repeat on Tuesday and we should be in with a real shout against a dispirited Villa side.

Yes I remember that jayden. I think we also had an exchange about him being placed in a gro-bag for the whole of the last close season! Amazing transformation. I've seen one performance where he looked a real threat and another where he was pretty ineffective. Seems like he did the biz today, so let's hope that's going to be the rule rather than the exception from now on.

In Paolo we trust.

Great performance today and in total control from the first minute.
Fodds had one save to make all game and a great one at that just before halftime.
Took a slight deflection and was going in the bottom corner until he managed to block it away.....Great Save.
But this was more about the team. A complete performance and was so impressed by the movement and passing.
Stevenage are a big physical side but football triumphed over "hoof" today.

It was so pleasing after the 4th to sit back and enjoy the match without the pressure.
We were very good today. Every player had a good game and I thought we were going to be in for one of those arial bombardments today but Stevenage were totally outplayed.

So to the boo boys who can even suggest that Polo, Paulo or even Paolo would put out a team not giving 100% you missed it today.

Great performance now onto the Villa.

PS - I thought Jimmy Saville was dead but he was spotted at Stevenage today :)....naughty boys you know who you are lol.....;)

RDV certainly asking the question now, massively improved player which was obvious from the beginning of the season. Two starts, two all important first goals, you can't really ask much more of somebody who for a period has been left on the sidelines awaiting the chance to prove himself once more. He has to feature on Tuesday now, surely.

Please to hear it. Seems you had a good one as well Duke. Dunno how long we can keep him in the back ground if his form continues like this. I think he well deserves a run up front. If he is scoring goals, then surely that is what we want and need. Collins and Williams need to look to their laurels a bit, and up their accuracy. Why spend money on another striker/loan when we have somebody here who is delivering the goods.

More often than not the service has let them down. Also I'm sure Benson will chip in with a few goals between now and the end of the season. I've been saying for ages that we don't have a problem in the striking department. One game doesn't prove me right but I hope it makes people realise that we're much better equipped than most of or rivals. I think it's closer to an embarrassment of riches than a crisis.

Rafa, Thommo, and now Storey who needs new players Paolo you have got them here just give them more chances. Seriously though Thompson has been the find of the season and I always expected Miles Storey to get better and better after seeing him last season and he scares defence's. Rafa is probably our most improved player from last season and it puzzles me why he has not had more game time and as Wiz rightly says should be given a run up front in his more natural position and this boy knows where the goal is. He is not a winger even though he works hard in that position I feel he would be better as a striker. Great day today and fabulous to see that the team played so well and even impressed the fans of Stevenage. Congrats to the 900 plus Town fans you are the greatest and thanks for supporting the lads. Now onto Villa and what a build up to that game after today this was just what the doctor ordered. Bring it on.

Having to utilize what we already had to maximum effect has probably even surprised the manager at what they can deliver. Sorry, but I've never really been convinced by Navaro, and I guess today further underlines that.

"Rafa is probably our most improved player from last season ..........." I usually have a look at reports and comments at the Opposition end and to my surprise there was a reference to the highly rated De Vita. I particularly rate him because he is prepared to play in any outfield position rather than be watching from the stand - AND seldom turns in a weak performance. Will be a very valuable player by the end of the season i.m.o.

Made me proud to be a Swindon fan after reading that...have to say that given PDC's words in the build up, it MAY have convinced Aston Villa not to send anyone to the game yesterday.
Even if they did they won't know who is going to show up now!

Stats Time

Form guide for the past 10 games

1) Tranmere W6 D2 L2 = 20pts
2) Crawley W6 D2 L2 = 20pt
3) Stevenage W5 D3 L2 = 18pts
4) Sheffield U W5 D5 L0 = 20pts
5) Doncaster W6 D4 L1 = 21pts
6) Notts County W3 L3 D4 = 13pts
7) Swindon T W5 D3 L2 = 18pts
8) MK Dons W4 D4 L2 = 16pts

And this is with a squad of mis-firing strikers, the odd crocked player or five, discord in the camp and a manager that going to quit any day now.

A win instead of a draw and a draw instead of a defeat and we are right in the mix - not that we're not already.

Just think what could happen with a fully fit squad and harmony.

Yesterday showed that the embargo is no excuse for the recent poor results, if PDC picks the right team from the embarrassment of riches that are sill fit and available, and the players are prepared and fully focused like yesterday then they will win most matches they play. Hopefully this result will let PDC stop for air and focus on the quality players that he has got and just get on with it until the embargo situation changes.

Think Pdc has allready said that ,but what it has done is given players that either pdc did not rate or not ready a chance and yesterday they came good when given the chance,This is a hard league as we found out against Chesterfield last season we have to be up for it every game or we will pay the price. Looking foward to Tues night now i think we have a good chance key player Flint

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"It's not an option to bring anybody else in at the moment which is why it was such a blow to lose Lecsinel Jean-Francois.

"I'm expecting a tough test because they've put together a quality squad in a very short period of time. referring to Pompey who they play tomorrow night.

For some bizarre reason, I decided to watch the game in the home stand (under the clock), and could hardly contain my delight, I remember saying to a local taht swindon were playing well after only 6 or 7 minutes, from memory they only had one decent shot on goal in the whole game, we should have had 6 or 7, the quietness in the home stand for the second half was amazing, and great to hear our support away off to the left. only a 20 min drive home for me, so a great local away game for me. So SAPFan, with me and Okus red, the away support should be 928 not 926 !!! i would recommend all town fans to at least once experience an away game in the home end at least once (Especially on a game like today's)

Just on another note....I wonder what the scouts from Villa and Macclesfield thought if they attended yesterday?
---
Can't believe they bothered after PDC's comments - lets hope we scare the pants off Macclesfield and Sheff Utd with our performance on Tuesday.
===.
Is Bostock really out for a few weeks now?.....or more of a smokescreen?
---.
De Vita up front with Collins? (Guess Williams is still out of the frame) or play him in a hole behind Storey and Collins and really go for it?
---.
What would your team be?....tough one to call I think.

Also my family of grims went to get in 35 of them paid and got ejected before kick off so the actual away fans who see the game was 893 and not 928.
So saPf I win on total away fans
Onwards and upwards
Also as I don't rate Rooney for me he don't score and never win so actually we won 3-0 and not 4-0.

FYI - These are the questions I've sent to Andy if you want to add to / amend your answers (they should be up tomorrow morning):
---.
1) Correct Score.

2) Total Attendance.

3) First Swindon Goalscorer AND Time of the goal.

4) Number of Corners.

Kennet is the place i have in my sights set already,i was just looking for alturnatives and getting local knowledge can often save a lot of time. Have Zander reached you yet? Not able to make the Villa game gents so i will be looking to live-stream it and join Sam and Andy on here, i hope you enjoy the game,a full County Ground is a special place and ubder floodlights as well, tccchhh. It will not be easy for a Villa side that are not at there best that`s for sure.

Forgive the spelling mistakes Granson was pulling my hair and i forgot to spell check. S0d off Malky before you start. :O)
Well now Stephen there's some real spelling howlers there eh! I suppose your excuse is acceptable unless Granson is your PA's name! ( should that be Grandson or is that his name? poor little burger if it is lol!) :)

from what i remember we were crap against the lower teams last year also (macclesfield away, hereford home etc) and great against the top teams (and the pox) (sarfend away, Crawley), Deja Vous?
...come on Guy!?...this is Swindon - we never do anything the easy way!
...
From memory the worse the team the more likely we are to lose....hence I'm more worried about Macclesfield than I am about Villa.
---.
Maybe that's the bet to do now - Double on Swindon beating Villa then losing at home to Macclesfield?...shou

ld be 3/1 and 6/1 easily so what's that £280 to a £10 stake.....hmmm!?
---.
We play 5 out of the top 13 in Nov so that'll be 15pts from 15 and top spot for Christmas! :-)
SAP, just to let you know i've put some predicitons for the villa game on the results thread, as I'm going to be away this week...
No Problem Stokes...Happy Hols!!
FYI - These are the questions I've sent to Andy if you want to add to / amend your answers (they should be up tomorrow morning):
---.
1) Correct Score.

2) Total Attendance.

3) First Swindon Goalscorer AND Time of the goal.

4) Number of Corners.

5) Time of LAST!!! Substitute (either team by the way)…NOT 1st Sub any more INCLUDES EXTRA-TIME (up to 120mins - an extra 2 bonus points if you predict a sub in extra time and match goes to extra time regardless if you're correct or not).

cracking result yesterday, never expected that at 3 o'clock, really wouldn't like to guess line up for Tues night now. Shame Bostock got injured after putting in a good performance by all accounts. Looking forward to going to most of the next series of games and hoping we can start to improve the home form. Wondering whether raffa might get played up top? Will guess anyway and be hugely wrong Wes, Macca, Flint, TAH, JMac, Ritchie, Miller, Ferry, Roberts, RDV, Collins subs Bedwell, Dev, Benson, Storey, L Thompson, ????. This assumes N Thompson, Williams, Bostock, Navarro injured and Ward and Rooney cup tied?? How did Devera play at lb? haven't seen much comment on that

Devera linked up really well with DiVita and IMO had his best game so far for Swindon.
I was with Stevenage fans and they picked out McCormack as best player. Funny that the full backs were to me pick of the team with both players playing out of their normal positions.
