CORSHAM’S Lee Harding died at the age of 35 on Tuesday, April 26, following a motorcycle accident in Bath Road, Pickwick.

Born in Bath on December 11, 1980, to Sheila and Anthony Harding, Mr Harding spent the majority of his life in Corsham, a town he loved.

With his parents and his elder brother Wayne, he spent the early years of his life living in Paxcroft, Trowbridge, then moving to Gastard and finally settling down for good in Corsham, where he attended Corsham School.

His father, who has been a widow since his wife Sheila died eight years ago, said ever since Mr Harding left school he has worked in a self-employed role in the building trade.

Mr Harding was also very fond of fishing and downhill cycling and whenever he had the chance to do either, he leapt at the opportunity.

“Him and his friends used to love heading off to Wales to whizz down those hills. He was a bit of a daredevil – he did not take after me in that respect,” said his father.

Mr Harding, who did a lot of self-employed maintenance work, also did machine work and worked as a welder. “He was a lovely lad. He was cherished and valued by many. He meant the world to me, just everything and he was a son to be proud of,” said Mr Harding, who now lives in Batheaston.

“I will miss him so much. We were quite alike. He took after me in the job trade and he was great to be around. He had his faults like everyone but he was my son. I will miss him dearly.”

Floral tributes and cards were placed by family, friends, neighbours and people from Corsham in tribute of Mr Harding.
