PC Catherine Lee said: "Between 5pm on April 11, and 7.15am on April 12 an offender or offenders climbed over a wall at the Occasions card shop in High Street.
"A boulder was smashed through the window and a teddy bear taken.
"The teddy bear was quite distinctive. It said I love you this much' on its T-shirt.
"We are appealing for any information on where it is. We believe only one of these teddies has been sold around the area.
"Anyone who has one who hasn't bought it themselves should contact police."
