POLICE have raided a cannabis farm in Royal Wootton Bassett, the second such raid in under a week.
Officers descended on a barn complex on the outskirts of the town this afternoon in a convoy of eight vehicles.
Following a search of the property, they located a cannabis farm containing approximately 200 plants.
A spokesperson from Wiltshire Police said: “Officers attended an address in Brinkworth Road, Royal Wootton Bassett today and located a cannabis factory.
“Three people, two men and a woman, have been arrested in connection with the cultivation of cannabis.
“They have been taken to custody at Gablecross Police Station whilst the investigation into the offences continues.”
The Avon & Somerset Police drug factory dismantling team are assisting Wiltshire officers at the scene as the cannabis plants and associated pieces of equipment are removed.
The raid comes just days after police discovered another cannabis farm, in a former pub in Beatrice Street, Swindon.
When that property was searched, 150 cannabis plants were found.
An Albanian man, 31-year-old Ervin Doksani, appeared in court on Monday charged with producing cannabis at the property and was jailed for 26 weeks.
