POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a crash in Tockenham, near Royal Wootton Bassett, today in which a woman in her 80s died.
Police were called just before 11.30am today to the A3102 Tockenham after a collision between a Renault lorry, Fiat Punto and Ford Focus.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "A woman in her 80s, who was from the local area and was the driver of the Fiat Punto, died at the scene. The other drivers received only minor injuries.
"Officers are in the process of contacting next of kin.
"The Fiat Punto was travelling from the Royal Wootton Bassett area along the A3102 towards Lyneham.
"The car went into the opposite carriageway and was in collision with the Renault lorry which was travelling in the opposite direction.
"As a result of this the Renault lorry hit a Ford Focus before leaving the road and colliding with a building."

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the crash.
