TROPHIES and certificates for Royal Wootton Bassett in Bloom 2015 were presented by James Gray MP at a convivial autumn social evening for all entrants, at the ballroom of The Angel Hotel. The competition organisers discovered that some residents confused the judging date for the event with that of the South West in Bloom competition, in which the town gained a Silver Gilt Award and beat five other towns to win the title Best New Entrant. Unfortunately some previously regular Bassett in Bloom entrants did not take part in the local competition this year.

Mr Gray, who congratulated all who participated, thanked Chris and Audrey Wannell for co-ordinating the entries and judging. The social evening was an opportunity for sharing photos of the winning entries, and appreciating the excellent efforts of local gardeners in brightening their neighbourhoods with attractive floral displays.
