CASH and jewellery were stolen from a three-bedroom house in Royal Wootton Bassett over the Easter weekend.

The owners of the home in Station Road returned at around 6pm on Saturday to find burglars had broken in through a side window to their kitchen before conducting a messy search for any valuables.

It is thought the house was targeted at some time between midday on Friday and 6pm the next day.

DC Mark Harris, of the Priority Crime Team, said: “The burglary occurred at a three-bedroom house in Station Road, Royal Wootton Bassett, between midday on Friday, April 3, and 6pm on Saturday, April 4.

“Unknown offenders have forced open a kitchen window at the side of the house in order to gain entry.

“An untidy search of the property took place and jewellery and cash were stolen.”
