A PASSENGER has died following a crash in the early hours of this morning on the A3102 at Snow Hill in Goatacre, Lyneham.

A VW Golf carrying four men was travelling southbound when the incident occurred.

No other vehicles were involved.

One man, 20, who was the rear seat passenger in car, died following the crash which took place at around 12.50am this morning.

The front seat passenger suffered a serious arm injury and the driver and other rear seat pasenger suffered minor injuries. 

Emergency services declared the man dead at the scene and the road was shut for the majroity of the morning as the area was investigated and a clean up process began.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "A 20-year-old man has died following a collision on the A3102 Snow Hill, Goatacre.

"The incident happened at approximately 12.50am this morning.

"A Volkswagen Golf was travelling south along the road when the collision happened. No other vehicles were involved.

"Sadly, one man, who was a rear seat passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

"The male front seat passenger sustained a serious arm injury. The male driver and other rear seat male passenger sustained minor injuries.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the Volkswagen Golf prior to the collision should call the Tri Force Roads Policing Unit on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
