INFORMATION about using social enterprise to help your business is being held in Rowal Wootton Bassett on Thursday (Sep 7).

Wiltshire Council, supported by Social Enterprise UK, will be providing information on the finance and funding involved in social enterprise for anyone interested in this form of business.

The event will feature a guest presentation from Chris Crookall-Fallon of Cooperative Futures, in which he will give an overview of the funding landscape for social entrepreneurs. The aim of the session is to bring those interested together to learn from each other and get answers and guidance on how to create their own social enterprise.

"Social enterprise is where a business exists to do something for the community, rather than simply make money for private profit," said event organiser Jolyon Rose, development officer for Wiltshire Council's TEN, The Enterprise Network. "Social enterprise can offer a business model for doing good - it offers something for both charities and businesses," he added.

The session will take place from 10.30 am to 12 noon at the Manor House Enterprise Centre. Attendance is free but online registration is required due to space limitations. More information and online booking is available at www.theenterprisenetwork.co.uk/sesw
