WILTSHIRE Police has released CCTV footage of four people they would like to speak to following the murder of Jordan Taylor in Trowbridge.

Detectives hope to eliminate the people, who are walking along Union Street and Timbrell Street in a ten minute window from 1.25-1.35am on Sunday, from their investigations.

Detective Inspector Jim Taylor said: "Today we are releasing CCTV footage of four people we would like to speak to in relation to our investigation.

"We have forensic evidence which can eliminate these people from our enquiries so we would urgently like to hear from them or anyone who may recognise these individuals from the CCTV.

"It is likely that some of the four were just walking home from a night out but they all pass closely to the incident and they may hold the key to solving this murder investigation. It is imperative that we talk to them and they help us.

"In particular, we have already released a description of the white man in the green parka coat.

"We are certain that someone knows who this man is and that he might be from the local area."

The footage shows a man dressed smartly in dark clothing and carrying an umbrella, seen walking from Union Street on to a pathway towards Charlotte Street, a person wearing light trousers and a dark jacket walking from Timbrell Street to Union Street, a man wearing a grey hoody walking from Timbrell Street to Union Street and a man in a green parka coat carrying a black bag with receding hair walking from Charlotte Street into Union Street all around 1.25-1.35am.

"If you think you know any people in the CCTV, I would urge you to get in touch with us as soon as possible," DI Taylor said.

"Also, we are interested in speaking to anyone who matches the descriptions given and who may own a Star Wars-logo bag."

Officers continue to carry out searches in the York Buildings area but all other cordons have been lifted.

Residents have also been reassured that police will continue to patrol the streets while the investigation continues.

DI Taylor added: "Trowbridge is a very safe town but people will see an increase in patrols as a result of the incident on Sunday.

"People will see officers out walking the streets more often and there will be a much higher visibility for the weekend.

"The local community have been really helpful and we think that they may be able to help us in this matter too."
