POLICE are appealing for information after a 12-year-old cyclist was struck from behind by a motorcyclist - who failed to stop.
The incident happened today at 11.15am in Royal Wootton Bassett.
The boy was cycling with a friend in Longleaze when he was struck by a motorcyclist near to the junction of Buxton Way.
The cyclist sustained minor injuries to his chin and left leg as a result but did not require any medical treatment.
The motorcyclist failed to stop at the scene and rode off.
PC Ben Cox said: "This was a distressing incident for the cyclist who has received injuries to his chin and leg. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured.
"The motorcyclist is described as wearing black leathers, a red and white helmet and red and white shoes. He is believed to have been riding a white and red motorbike.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact police."
