A PEDESTRIAN died in a crash on the A4 at about 5.30pm near Savernake Hospital, Marlborough.
The A4 between Marlborough and Froxfield was closed for hours while police investigations took place.
Two men, one aged 24 and the other 27 from the Marlborough area, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Wiltshire Police advised drivers to find alternative routes while the road was closed.
Marlborough Neighbourhood Police Team said on Facebook earlier: "We are currently in attendance at a serious road collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on the A4 outside of Marlborough towards Froxfield. Ambulance and police are on scene.
"Road closures are in place and may be for some time so please find an alternative route."
