A 27-year-old man was flown to hospital with serious head injuries after apparently being hit by a car at Sandy Lane.
The incident happened on the A342 just after 6pm on Saturday and the man was flown to the major trauma unit at Southmead Hospital by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Police have said the man is from London and anyone with information about this incident should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where details can be left anonymously.
