A CURRY house worker who obtained leave to remain in the country by deception has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Mohammed Islam, 39, also admitted having two fake Bangladeshi passports, one in someone else's name and the other in his.
Islam, who gave Swinon Crown Court an address at The Taste of Spice, in Malmesbury Road, Chippenham, pleaded guilty to all three charges.
He admitted obtaining leave to remain in the UK by deception and possessing a fake Bangladeshi passport in the name of Sala Udin in December 2012.
He also had a fake Bangladeshi passport in the name Mohammed Islam on Thursday, April 16, this year.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Friday, June 5, and remanded him in custody until then.
