PEOPLE across the county are being invited to host a tea party next month and brew their bit towards a new children’s hospice for Wiltshire.

Julia’s House, the Dorset and Wiltshire Children’s Hospices, is appealing for anyone with a kettle and a kind heart to take part in Time For Tea which runs throughout June.

The event is being sponsored by Dorset Tea, who is providing free tea for everyone who registers to hold a party.

Fundraising packs can be obtained by emailing timefortea@juliashouse.org or by phoning 01202 644220 and will contain invites, recipes, posters and fundraising tips plus a voucher which can be exchanged for the free box of tea.

Every donation from a tea party received by August 31 will also be entered into a prize draw to win a luxury tea for two.

More information can be found online at juliashouse.org/timefortea

Those who can’t hold a party but would like to support the campaign can text POTS to 70500 to give £5 or donate via the charity’s website.

Julia’s House has to raise £4.6 million annually to run its services on top of the £1.5 million still needed to build the new hospice and relies on the public for 94 per cent of its income.
