Southern Electric restored power to all homes by 10.05am
RESIDENTS of the Colerne area west of Chippenham woke up to no electricity this morning.
A fault was first reported to Southern Electric just before 4am. The company said about 1,000 homes were affected.
Power was restored by 5.05am to the majority of homes, except for Pinewood Way, which was back on the grid five hours later.
A spokesman for Southern Electric said: "We are still investigating a fault in the network.
"Power was restored to all homes by 10.05am. We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused."
