Dray bells are ringing as Wadworth’s much loved Christmas ale is released in time for the festive season.
Available in selected Wadworth pubs from mid-November Dray Bells, is a crisp, mid-amber bitter full of Christmassy aromas and tastes.
Orange peel has been added to the brew for a ‘satsuma sweetness’, while dark brown muscavado sugar adds richness, and cloves impart a spicy tang.
Head Brewer Brian Yorston said: "Think Christmas pudding with chocolatey notes, it’s a perfect warming ale to enjoy beside a roaring fire in a cosy pub while the wintry winds blow outside."
As always the famous Wadworth Shire Horses are the faces of Dray Bells ale, with the festive pump clip featuring the loveable horses and their draymen battling through the snow on the iconic Wadworth dray.
Marketing Product Manage Ellie Alderton said: "The working shires are an integral part of Wadworth. They not only demonstrate the traditional skills which are still very much alive at Wadworth, but also embody the traditional values of our family business."
"They deliver to our pubs in all weathers throughout the year, ensuring that the locals get their supplies of their favourite ales, and they are a much loved sight on the streets of Devizes. They really are the heart of Wadworth and Dray Bells celebrates the important role they play."
Dray Bells will be available in selected Wadworth pubs from mid-November through to the end of December.
