South Western Ambulance Service and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance paramedics sped to Pewsey but were unable to save the life of an 81-year-old man who had gone into cardiac arrest this morning.
The SWAS crew was called to a house in River Street, Pewsey, at just after 9.30am this morning and the air ambulance flew to the village.
Paramedics carried out CPR but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The air ambulance reported on its incident page: "Assisted landcrews at a patient in cardiac arrest sadly nothing could be done."
And @WiltsAirAmbu tweeted: "Assisted @swasFT with an incident locally. Big thank you to @wiltshirepolice for assistance at scene."
