A man who is accused of carrying out a serious assault outside a Pewsey pub has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Daniel Evetts, 28, is charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to the alleged incident on Saturday, June 21, into the early hours of the Sunday morning.
Evetts is alleged to have assaulted Thomas Smart outside the Royal Oak pub in North Street.
No charge was formally put to Evetts, of High Street, Pewsey, and he did not enter any plea when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, July 25, and remanded him in custody until then.
Police were called to the pub shortly after closing time to reports of a 22-year-old man being struck by a glass who was taken to the Great Western Hospital in Swindon where he was treated for cuts and bruises to his head and neck.
