Brit Awards-nominated singer announces seven-date forest tour

Rising star Paloma Faith is to perform at Westonbirt Arboretum on June 22 as part of the Forestry Commission’s Forest Live concert series.

Faith’s debut album Do You Want the Truth, or Something Beautiful? was released in 2009 and has sold half a million copies.

Her 2012 platinum-selling album, Fall To Grace, features the singles Picking Up the Pieces, 30 Minute Love Affair, Just Be and a cover of Never Tear Us Apart.

Fall To Grace has been nominated for the best album title in the Brit Awards and she has been nominated as best British female artist.

Faith said: “I’m really excited about these shows. It’s going to be a great experience.”

She also said she was delighted to have been nominated for the Brit awards, adding: “I don't expect to win, but it's so wonderful to be acknowledged for contributing something to British music.

"I am very proud to be British and so happy to do something I love.”

Forest Live is an independent programme organised by the Forestry Commission bringing music to new audiences without commercial branding or sponsorship.

Income from ticket sales is spent on improving forests for people and wildlife.

Faith's forest tour dates are: Thetford Forest, Suffolk, Friday, June 14; Sherwood Pines Forest, Nottinghamshire, June 15; Bedgebury Pinetum, Kent, June 21; Westonbirt Arboretum, June 22; Cannock Chase Forest, Staffordshire, June 28; Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire, June 29; Delamere Forest, Cheshire, July 5.
