Coalition will mark big day

SWINDON'S Women's Equality Coalition will be celebrating International Women's Day on Saturday, March 11.

Celebrating Being a Woman will highlight the many ways in which women participate in society.

Swindon South MP Anne Snelgrove will be a guest speaker and will open the event.

Other speakers will be Donna Stevens from the Terrence Higgins Trust and Amar Basra from Women into Enterprise.

There will be workshops in Arab dance, yoga and crafts, free health tasters including reflexology, reiki and Indian head massage, a variety of educational stalls and entertainment provided by the Bollywood Dreamers, Swahili and Polish Dancers.

All women in the town are invited to join in the celebrations being held at the Broadgreen Centre, Salisbury Street from 11am to 4pm.

Entry is free and there will be a free lunch.
