Teen admits robbing man

A teenager has been remanded in custody after admitting robbing a man earlier this month.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before a judge at Swindon crown court.

He admitted robbing James Dhillon on Wednesday May 14 of a gold necklace, two mobile phones, a wallet and contents as well as cigarettes and a lighter.

Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Thursday June 12 so the probation service can compile a pre-sentence report and remanded the teenager, who is from the Rodbourne area, in custody.
