The jury in the case of a boy who was beaten with a hammer at a school has retired to consider its verdict.
Henry Webster, 16, was punched, kicked and hit repeatedly on the head at Ridgeway School in Wroughton in Wiltshire in 2007.
Four teenagers, Wasif Khan, 18, Amjad Qazi, 19, and two boys aged 15 and 16, deny inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Mr Webster suffered brain injury in the attack which were described at the time as "life-threatening".
The jury was later sent home for the night.
