FIRE crews were called to a first floor flat fire in Corporation Street, Swindon yesterday afternoon.

Shortly after 1.20pm crews from Swindon, Stratton St Margaret and Westlea attended the blaze and used two hose reel jets, two breathing apparatus and a mechanical ventilation system to help extinguish it.

Two people were treated for smoke inhalation by ambulance crews at the scene.

It is not yet known how the fire started or the damage it caused.
