POLICE have been making progress in trying to find those responsible for an arson attack on a home in Broad Street in Swindon last week.
At 1am last Saturday a petrol bomb was thrown through the ground floor lounge window of Abdul Rahim's house in Broad Street Officers were questioning people in and around the Broadgreen area last night and their enquiries are expected to last all weekend in an attempt to catch the culprits.
Swindon police say that the questioning has already opened up other lines of enquiry.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area when the attack took place last weekend, including taxi drivers or people who use the area as a shortcut to get home.
Detective Supt Stephen Fulcher, senior investigating officer in the case said: "I am very pleased with the progress we have made in one week but there are many enquiries that still have to be completed.
"Every piece of information is important to us as this helps us make the bigger picture.
"I thank the community for their continuing support, by working together I am confident we will find who is responsible for this attack."
Anyone with information should contact Swindon police on 08454087000.
