Police in Swindon are appealing to the public to help finding 17-year-old Stacey Clifford who has not been seen since Tuesday.
It is her 18th birthday this weekend.
Stacey left her home in Hewitt Close, Swindon, stating that she was going to stay with a friend. She was last seen at Asda in West Swindon by a friend who had driven her there.
Stacey has not been seen since and her parents are keen to know that she is all right.
Stacey is white, has a slim build and dark brown, collar-length hair. She was last seen wearing a three-quarter length black coat, jeans and cream boots.
Leading the efforts to find Stacey, Detective Inspector Don Stirton said: "I am becoming increasingly concerned about Stacey's continued absence and am keen to make contact with her as soon as possible. It is her 18th birthday this weekend and her parents are understandably keen to know that she is okay.'' "If Stacey reads this I would urge her to make contact with her parents or any police station. Stacey may have made her way to Swindon railway station to meet someone she apparently knew and I would particularly appeal to commuters to cast their mind back and see if they remember seeing her."
Anyone seeing Stacey or having knowledge of her whereabouts since 5.45pm on Tuesday February 5 is urged to contact Wiltshire Police on 0845 408 7000.
