Teenage girl grabs handbag

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Eldene on Friday night.
Just after 8pm a woman was walking along the footpath between the Crumpled Horn pub and Eldene shopping centre when a teenage girl approached her and jumped onto her back and tried to steal her handbag.
Following a short scuffle the girl managed to grab hold of the victim's bag and escaped across the car park.
Police are looking for a white female aged between 16 and 18 years old.
The suspect was described as 5ft 3ins tall, slim build with shoulder length dark hair.
She was wearing a waist- length white jacket and dark bottoms.
