A man was attacked last night in Swindon, as he was walking with his partner, just before 11:45 at Euclid and Princess streets, as the man was walking on Princess St, just past the council buildings.
The assailants were two males, who proceeded to attack the man, inflicting a barrage of punches, which only stopped after members of the public intervened.
The man received bruising to his face and lacerations to his hands as a result of the attack.
The first suspect is described as about 6 ft tall, slim to medium build, with short blond mousy hair.
The second suspect is described as about 5'8, olive skin, short dark spiked hair.
Both are described as being in their early 20's.
A number of witnesses left the scene prior to the arrival of the police and investigators are anxious to speak with them.
