A WOMAN was threatened that she would be stabbed if she did not hand over her purse.
The incident happened in Station Road, at around 7.45pm, on Sunday evening.
The woman was walking along Station Road, past Holbrook House, on her way to the train station.
She was approached from behind by a man who said he would stab if she did not give up her bag.
No knife was seen.
The woman ran towards the station.
The man was described as being white, about 5ft 10, with brown hair and dark clothing.
He was riding a dark coloured mountain bike.
There was a red Ford Fiesta, or similar sized car, in the area at the time.
