A WOMAN had her handbag snatched as she walked from her car to her Swindon home.
The 35-year-old woman was returning to her home in Union Street, in Old Town, after work at 11.45pm on Friday evening.
Her handbag was grabbed by an attacker, who police believe was a male, with such force that she received bruising to her fingers.
The attacker was wearing a large and distinctive fluorescent yellow jacket with two metallic silver stripes on the back.
The hood of the jacket completely covered the assailant's face.
The attacker then cycled off on a mountain bike along Union Street before turning into North Street.
The woman called out loudly as her attacker escaped.
Police are now appealing for help to trace the mugger and are hoping someone will recognise the description of the jacket.
Anyone with information should call Wiltshire Police on 0845 408 7000 or can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
