Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two youths wanted in connection with a robbery in Swindon.
Shortly before 2.15p.m. on Saturday 22nd December 2007, the 2 offenders entered the Co-op stores in Sussex Square, Swindon, where they joined a queue of other customers, waiting to be served.
When the rest of the customers had left the shop, one of the men punched the 23 year old male member of staff, leant across the counter, and stole £900 in cash from the till, together with a quantity of cigarettes from the shelf.
The youths then made off together.
Following examination of CCTV footage, the following image is now available. The second youth is hidden throughout the footage by a hoody across his face, but there is a particularly good image of the person responsible for the assault.
Following police enquiries, it has been established that the 2 youths may not live in Swindon, but could well have been visiting on the day in question.
Anyone who has information as to the identity of either of these offenders is asked to ring Detective Constable Chris Tollervey from Swindon Police on 0845 408 7000.
If preferred, anonymous information may be left on the Crimestoppers line, 0800 555111.
