Police seal off murder house

THE house where Dawn Williams was murdered yesterday evening was today sealed off by police.

The body of a 44-year-old Mrs Williams was discovered at her home in Fosse Close in Rodbourne at 7.15pm last night.

The road was immediately sealed off and police officers moved into the address where she was found.

Those living nearby said they were shocked and saddened when told by police of what had happened.

Manmohan Nandhra, who lives in Fosse Close, said: "It is shocking to have something like this happen in our quiet street.

"I have lived here for 40 years and we have never had any trouble at all, so to have something this serious happen on your doorstep is quite shocking. People keep themselves very much to themselves, but we all know each other by our first names."

A team of forensic officers are expected to search the house later today.

A 42-year-old man is currently helping police with their enquiries.
