Three men attempted to carry out two distraction burglaries in the space of an hour in Wroughton yesterday afternoon.
Both incidents occurred between 2.30 and 3pm in Coronation Street.
In the first incident they claimed to be part of a Neighbourhood watch scheme but were not allowed into the elderly resident's home.
In their second attempt they claimed to be police officers and were granted access but nothing was stolen.
The first man is white and of thin build with a tanned complexion. He is around 5ft 7ins tall and aged in his teens or early 20s.
His hair is black, short at the sides and wavy on the top. He was wearing light blue jeans and a checked shirt.
The second man is also white but lighter skinned with a stocky build and is around 5ft 8ins tall. He has cropped hair that is curly on top and a round face.
He has a southern Irish accent and was wearing a beige shirt and trousers. The third man is similar to male two and could possibly be related.
Anyone with information should call police on 0845 408 7000.
