One lane of the M4 westbound between junctions 16 and 17 was closed because of a crash
ONE lane of the M4 westbound between junctions 16 and 17 was closed after a vehicle went down an embankment.
Police were called just before 11am to a report that a vehicle had gone down an embankment after leaving the M4.
Fire and ambulance attended with the male driver and female passenger being taken to hospital as a precaution.
A boundary fence was damaged in the incident.
Highways England said traffic conditions returned to normal after 3pm.
