North Swindon MP Michael Wills is to hold a public meeting about schools admissions in Abbey Meads ward.

It will take place at Red Oaks School at 3pm on Saturday, June 16.

He said: "I have been receiving a considerable number of letters from local constituents expressing deep concern and anxiety about Swindon Borough Council's school admissions policy for the Abbey Meads ward and this is not the first time that this policy has created such anxiety among parents in the area.

"I am therefore holding a public meeting to discuss the way forward and how lessons can be learned from this experience.

"I am inviting concerned residents, officers from Swindon Borough Council, the lead member for education on the council and the ward councillors."
