AN APPEAL has been launched as police seek witnesses to a crash involving a motorcyclist and a cyclist in Avebury.

At around 4.30pm on Sunday a black motorcycle and a 71-year-old man on a bicycle collided on the A4361.

Sergeant Warren Knight said: “The motorcyclist stopped briefly but failed to provide any details. The cyclist received bruising and his mountain bike was damaged.

"At the time of the collision both mountain bike and motorcycle were exiting the right hand bend as you leave Avebury towards Swindon.

“The motorcycle is described as having black panniers to its rear and was of a cruiser style.

"The rider is described as being dressed in black with a white section to a black motorcycle helmet.”

Any witnesses who may have seen the accident are being asked to contact the police on 101 and ask for Sergeant 1144 Warren Knight.
