Driver killed after collapsing at wheel

A 61-year old man from Swindon has died after collapsing at the wheel of his van and crashing into off-road railings.

Robert Lorrell Donohue was driving towards the Great Western Way along Corporation Street when he fell unconscious at 9.40am this morning.

After smashing into the metal railings the ambulance service were alerted and Mr Donohue was taken to the Great Western Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death is as yet unknown.
