Man charged with historic rape

Police investigating historical sex offences have charged a Swindon man with a rape in October 1990.
Neil Charles Hunt, 42, of Tulip Tree Close, allegedly raped a 44-year-old woman as she walked along a rural road in Hampshire.
He is due to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court today.
A police spokeswoman said Mr Hunt was arrested in Reading yesterday, as part of an ongoing operation into offences between 1986 and 1998.
