The 69-year-old man murdered in his Swindon home yesterday lunchtime has been named as Brian Michael Marsh.

Police were called to his house in Whittington Road,Westlea shortly before 12.30pm after officers received a report of a disturbance.

They found a 69-year-old man, who was confirmed dead a short while later and soon after his 45-year-old stepson was arrested on suspicion of murder. He is still being questioned

A post mortem is expected to be carried out later today.
